HELP ME WITH A KO-FI OR BUY MY MERCH

ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Mariel (or Mari), a self-taught artist. I'm 23 years old and live in Argentina. My native language is spanish but I understand some english. Sorry beforehand if there's some misunderstood. Also, I'm learning japanese どぞ よろしく!In my art, I tend to use flat colors and hard shadows (or hard direct light). I like distinctive shapes for designing. So, my main focus are characters that look semi-cartoony or cute (but I do more "serious" work too). My goal is to develop a suitable style for comics. That's all. Thanks for reading! Hope you like my art ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ აFor more stalking, check out my social media linked below.

IMPORTANT

I tend to diversify things like lineart, color or even style... I recomend that, when you tell me the details of what you want, add an example of My own work, so I know exactly what 'vibe' to achieve. What you see is what I can do.Also, try to give me as much information and references about what you want commissioned. Especially about marks or patterns, because I may not see them well in the references you send me. Again, say everything that is esencial for the artwork in the begining as you have a limit for the changes you can request.Besides art, I study and have another work. That's why it could take me a full month to finish a piece. Especially when it has more than one character or pose. So, keep that in mind.By agreeing to commission me, you automatically accept my Terms of Service.
I advise you to read my ToS before paying.

TERMS OF SERVICE

PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING DEFINITIONS:>The Artist refers to the individual producing the Commission [MarieLS or Mari La Sucia].
>The Client refers to the individual purchasing the Commission.
>The Commission refers to the service produced by the Artist to the Client according to the Commission agreement, other definitions can be Artwork, Illustration, Project, Painting, and others, always considering the service aspect.
>The Commission agreement refers to the discussion or conversation through which the Artist and the Client come to an agreement about the subject matter, the type of Commission, the Commission price/payment, and - if applicable - the deadline, start of work, early termination, copyright, personal or commercial licence, and the public display preference of the Commission by the Client.
>The Start of Work refers to the precise day the Artist starts producing the requested Commission.
I. GENERAL TERMS1. The Artist has the right to refuse any Commission request.
2. The Client may display the Commission in Profiles as long as the Artist’s tag (@MarieLS6699) is displayed along the post in any possible way.
3. The Client may request a preview of the Commission at any time during the creation process.
4. The Artist can reproduce art of a copyrighted or Trademarked image or character, as long as it is agreed as Personal Use only, and not Commercial Use in any way.
5. The Artist is not responsible for printing [creating a hard copy of] a digital art Commission for the Client unless agreed upon in the Commission Agreement. The Client may use the digital file for local printing, so long as it does not breach any other condition (like being anything other than Personal Use) and the Client obtains written permission from the Artist prior to printing.
6. The Client may not distribute, reproduce, or otherwise profit from the Commission. All commissions are stated as Personal Use, unless the possibility of it being used for Commercial Purposes is discussed and agreed between the Client and the Artist.
7. The Artist retains all rights to the Commission, which includes but is not limited to: Distribution, reproduction, use of the Commission for Artist promotion (e.g. Profiles, Personal Space, Public Space, etc.). The Artist may use any images of the Commission for promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed upon in the Commission Agreement (confidentiality).
8. All communication with the Client will be done in their platform of preference, but only if the Artist has an account there and accepts doing so, as some platforms are more optimal for contacting and sending images than others.
9. The Artist has the right to put their signature in the Commission, and will make sure to make it affect minimally the Commission itself. The Client can request a non-signed version of the Commission if an agreement is done with the Artist, but the Client can't erase the signature from the commission under any circumstance.
10. The Commission could take between a week and a month, depending on complexity and previous work that the Artist might have.
11. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties, and can only be modified by the agreement of both parties.
II. PAYMENT AND REFUND1. Payment must be made through Paypal. Client will receive an invoice for the Artwork.
2. The Artist hereby sells or transfers the Commission to the Client at the agreed value.
3. A full payment must be made after the Commission Agreement and prior to the Start of Work. In other words, the Artist shall only begin working on the Artwork after receiving 100% of the price on the invoice. Any additional payments must be paid immediately to the Artist or before the Artist send the final drawing.
4. All prices are expressed in American Dollars (USD), and payments are expected to be made as such. The Client is responsible for providing the correct amount.
5. Just like the Client is able to send extra payment as a way of tipping the Artist, the Artist has the right to keep such extra payment if the Client wants to get it back, as it counts as part of the total payment the Artist received for the Commission.
6. The Artist won't refund a Commission if it is more than halfway done, meaning the job is almost finished and time was already put into it. An example would be a Commission with its lineart already done, but lacking color.
7. If the Artist has a problem that makes it impossible to finish your commission, the Artist will communicate with you and return part or all of the Client money if necessary.
8. Both Parties may cancel this Agreement if more than 10 days lapse with no communication from either Party. Additionally, this Agreement shall automatically terminate upon death of Artist, and Artist’s estate shall retain all payments made pursuant to this Agreement not subject to refund.
9. The Artist also reserves the right to cancel and refund any started Commission due rudeness, inappropriate behavior or any kind of abuse.
10. Once the payment is done and the final Artwork is sended to the Commissioner (through Gmail-Drive), the Artist is not responsible for saving the file and reserves the right to delete it.
11. The Client can watch the progress at any time requested only if they fully paid.
III. CHANGES AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES1. Sketch phase:
1.a. The Client can request up to 3 revisions in the sketch phase.
1.b. Additional 3 revisions will be at an additional charge of $5-$10.
2. Lineart phase:
2.a. The Client can request up to 3 revisions for the lineart (only small changes).
2.b. Additional 3 revisions will be at an additional charge of $5-$10.
2.c. The Artist won’t do big changes in the lineart, as the general idea was accepted by the Client in the sketch phase.
3. Color or shadow phase:
3.a. The Client can request up to 3 revisions for the color or shadows.
3.b. Additional 3 revisions will be at an additional charge of $5-$10.
